Raiding Information

1. Scotch and Soda does not have attendance requirements for its raids. We understand that life takes precedence. All raids are coordinated using the in-game event planner built into the calendar. All that we ask is this: if you sign up for a guild event, and can't make it, please notify the raid leader or post on the boards. People who sign up for a guild event, and do not show up or post notifying us of their absence, will be exempted from participating in guild events for a period of one week.  If you are unsure you can make it, but wish to attend, sign up as "tentative".  If you then do make it, change your signup status.

2. Invites generally go out 15 minutes before departure time. If you think you will be late, let the raid leader know.  We will save you a spot if possible and reasonable.

3. Once tank and healing spots are confirmed, we will fill with DPS. We typically confirm those who sign up first. Remember that you can also accept an invite using your armory profile. The raid is open to mains only. Bringing your alt can not be detrimental to the progression of the raid. If you intend to swap your main character to an alt, please post on the boards first. I want everyone to have a good time and not burnout, but we all do this together so please talk about this on the boards first.  If you are asked to bring an alt for a key role, we will love you for it, and you may roll as a main for that run.

4. Please have all appropriate consumables, resist gear, shards, etc, BEFORE you head to the instance. Flasks are available in the guild bank, you are allowed to pull three for the night. Flask-making supplies are always appreciated. We will take a 3 min bio around the midpoint, please hit the head before we start.

5. Loot rules are up to the discretion of the raid leader.  However, "Progression runs" are generally run as one need/one greed via a master looter. You get one need and one greed per night. Main spec is need, off spec is greed. Doing multiple instances per night still counts against your rolls, we are not resetting per instance. All shards go to the guild bank for enchants. BoEs that drop will go to the bank unless it's an upgrade and can be equipped on the spot.  There will be no chatter about it: whisper amongst yourselves as to who something might be better for. Anyone who whines will be booted immediately.  Non-progression runs are often done with the in-game loot tool.  It is expected that raid members can peaceably decide who would best benefit from an item and trade accordingly.  We do want to keep to the one need/one greed philosophy, but will probably pay less attention.

6. Vent chatter will be fine on trash, but please talk about the encounter alone when setting up for a boss and silence during the boss encounter.

7. Raids will occasionally go overtime, but that is the exception not the rule. If you cannot stay for the duration of the raid, please make arrangements with the raid leader as early as possible.

8. Be patient and tolerant of your fellow raid members.  Be even more patient and tolerant of your raid leader.  It's the world's worst job, and they don't even get paid for it.  Be prepared to be asked questions and given constructive feedback.  This is not an insult or message that you're a horrible player, this is how we learn to play together as a team.  We wouldn't correct you if we didn't care.
